Destination Bridgewater: Where will Teddy play next?

Teddy Bridgewater, between his time in Minnesota, his pre-season with the Jets, and his 5 game win streak with the Saints has done enough to prove that he can possibly be a franchise Superstar. So with there being a few teams next year that will need that QB, where will he go? Let’s look at the potential landing spots. I won’t be including the Washington Redskins or the Miami Dolphins because Miami is tanking for Tua and the Redskins won’t give up on Haskins, because he is an owners pick.

Denver Broncos-

Weapons: Cortland Sutton, Philip Lindsay, Royce Freeman, DeShaun Hamilton, Noah Fant

I can see John Elway going for Bridgewater, since Drew Lock is still not ready. Bridgewater has two good Running Backs with Lindsay and Freeman, then you have Cartland Sutton, a young superstar in the making. With that defense and emerging weapons Bridgewater could be the spark needed to make the Broncos playoff contenders again.

Reason to not go: Elway drafted Lock, he may see Teddy as a bridge to Lock eventually.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers-

Weapons: Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Cameron Brate, OJ Howard, Ronald Jones II

I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it, Winston is not a Franchise Quarterback. Even with legendary Bruce Arians helping him, Winston is holding this team back. Bridgewater has a lot of the same skills as Winston, he just does it better. Arians and Bridgewater would make the Buccaneers an NFC Favorite.

Biggest reason to go: I think this is arguably the best fit for Bridgewater. Arians knows how to play to his quarterbacks strength.

Tennessee Titans-

Weapons: AJ Brown, Corey Davis, Jeanu Smith, Delanie Walker, and Derrick Henry

Tannehill has the rest of the year to prove he’s the answer. But if he doesn’t show he is I think Vrabel should make a push for Bridgewater. The weapons the Titans have make them a high ceiling offense, however since Tannehill has taken the reins he has elevated them. Can Bridgewater elevate them even further?

Biggest Reason to go: the Titans are playoff ready, they need a playoff caliber Quarterback.

Cincinnati Bengals-

Weapons: Giovanni Bernard, Joe Mixon, Tyler Boyd, Auden Tate, Tyler Eifert, and maybe AJ Green.

I think the Bengals are getting the 2nd or 3rd overall pick so they’ll probably draft another QB. But if they want to address other areas of need in the draft, they could get Bridgewater.

Reason not to go: Bengals have a horrible offensive line and the team is in full rebuild. If I were Teddy I’d only go if he got a Kirk Cousins like contract.

Chicago Bears-

Weapons: Allen Robinson II, Taylor Gabriel, Anthony Miller, Trey Burton, Tarik Cohen, and David Montgomery

Trubisky has regressed a lot this year and that’s alarming. I don’t see the Bears giving him another shot if he continues to play this pedestrian. So with all those weapons on offense and a Super Bowl level defense, a Quarterback like Bridgewater would possibly elevate this team back to NFC Superpower status.

Biggest Reason to go: Bridgewater is faster with his reads and is more likely to pull the trigger and can still scramble to make plays. He’d fit in well with Matt Nagy’s offense.
